Artist Statement
It all started in high school.
I was in my first art class and we were tasked with writing an artist statement. At the time I thought artist statements were dumb. I viewed them as a way for fellow classmates to showcase their eloquence with words in an attempt to make their mediocre art have a deeper meaning. I'm not too great with words, and at the time most of our assignments were centered around drawing, another medium I struggled with.
I'm big on the "why's" when it comes to art. Why did you create that?
